Job Description

The Yard Attendant safely receives, processes, lines up, supports sale day activities, and checks out consigned equipment for the auction. Maintaining the highest standards of customer service consistent with Ritchie Bros.'s expectations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive and release (check-in/check-out) consigned equipment for auction.
• Use auction listings to organize equipment display prior to auction.
• Drive and operate heavy and light equipment safely.
• Perform facility inspections using checklists and provide housekeeping or maintenance as needed.
• Perform basic maintenance on RBA-owned equipment.
• Manage keys for equipment.
• Operate forklifts to load/unload stationary equipment.
• Assemble equipment components, such as dozer blades.
• Check fluid and fuel levels on equipment.
• Set up signage, flags, and trash receptacles for auction day.
• Drive sound trucks as required.
• Hold ‘This item for sale’ signs (stick person).
• Assign operators to rolling stock.
• Park sold equipment on the ramp.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
