Job summary

Hammond Lumber Company in Machias, Maine is hiring a Full-Time Yard Attendant to join the yard team. You will operate a forklift and other material handling equipment to pick, load, unload and store materials, while delivering friendly customer service and ensuring safe handling of products.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, be able to lift heavy loads, and be available on weekends. This role offers comprehensive benefits and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience in handling building materials is a plus.
• Clean and valid driver’s license preferred.
• Weekend availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and material handling equipment to pick, load, unload and store materials in the yard.
• Provide customer service in person and over the counter.
• Assist with heavy lifting as part of yard operations.
