Responsibilities

• Receives/releases consigned equipment for auction.
• Uses an auction listing to line up equipment for display prior to auction.
• Drives/operates heavy and light equipment.
• Performs facility inspections and housekeeping as necessary.
• Performs basic maintenance on RB Global owned equipment.
• Manages keys for equipment.
• Operates forklift to load/unload equipment.
• Boosts equipment.
• Basic assembly of equipment (e.g., dozer blades).
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment.
• Lot number equipment.
• Sets out signage, flagging, and trash receptacles for auction day.
• Drives sound truck.
• Holds ‘This item for sale’ sign.
• Places operators in rolling stock.
• Parks sold equipment on the ramp.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

IAA, an RB Global, Inc. company is seeking a Yard Attendant to join our team. At IAA, our Yard Attendants enjoy working in the elements. They are detail‑oriented but quick on their feet and often have a passion for cars. While Yard Attendants always focus on safety first, they understand the importance of a quick and smooth operation. As the frontline of IAA, this critical role enjoys learning new ways to use technology and being at the forefront of the auction industry in all our tools and resources.

Responsibilities

• Receives/releases (checks‑in/checks‑out) consigned equipment for auction
• Uses an auction listing to line up equipment for display prior to auction
• Drives/operates heavy and light equipment
• Performs facility inspections (per checklists) and provides housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary
• Performs basic maintenance on RBA owned equipment
• Manages keys for equipment
• Operates forklift to load/unload stationary row equipment
• Boosts equipment
• Basic assembly of equipment i.e. dozer blades, etc
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment
• Lot number equipment
• Sets out signage, flagging, and trash receptacles for auction day
• Drives sound truck
• Holds ‘This item for sale sign’ (stick person)
• Places operators in rolling stock
• Parks sold equipment on the ramp
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• All candidates must have a high school diploma (or equivalent). There are physical demands of this role, so please read them carefully and understand that this is no desk job
• Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to operate a motor vehicle as required for job duties
• An upbeat demeanor to ensure every customer interaction is positive is a must! If you know about cars, or have general mechanical knowledge, you'll fit in great. Teamwork is incredibly important to our success!
• While it is not required, it would be great if you have:
• Candidates with basic automotive repair skills or experience in the rental or construction area have found this role to be an exceptionally great fit. Experience in the equipment rental or construction industry and/or related field preferred
