Job summary

Responsibilities

• Monitor yard organization; ensure vehicles and equipment are parked and stored properly.
• Assist with loading/unloading of materials; ensure safe handling, placement, and storage.
• Safely operate forklifts and yard equipment as trained.
• Conduct regular yard inspections for safety hazards and maintenance concerns.
• Communicate safety and operational issues to team members and supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness and order; dispose of waste and debris properly.
• Assist with basic equipment maintenance and report repair needs.
• Maintain records related to yard activities and materials.
• Provide courteous service to customers, drivers, vendors, and the public.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and guidelines.
• Perform other duties to support yard operations.

About the Role

The Yard Attendant plays an important role in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient yard operation. This position is responsible for properly parking and storing vehicles and equipment, assisting with the loading and unloading of materials, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.

The Yard Attendant monitors yard activities, identifies and reports safety or maintenance concerns, and communicates effectively with team members and supervisors. This role contributes to the smooth and efficient operation of the yard while providing professional service to customers, drivers, and the general public.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities
