Job summary

Master Halco Fence & Deck Supply is seeking a Yard Associate to support the branch by pulling orders, loading trucks, and maintaining an organized yard. The role involves forklift operation and both indoor warehouse and outdoor yard work.

The position requires at least 1 year in a warehouse/yard setting, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, forklift experience preferred, and willingness to overtime as needed. Building materials experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in a warehouse/yard position.
• Able to lift/move heavy materials up to 60lbs.
• Forklift experience (sit-down) highly desired.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Experience with building materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Works inside the warehouse and outside in the yard.
• Accurately loads trucks for outgoing shipments.
• Inbound material receiving and put away.
• Complete work orders and receiving documents accurately.
• Pulls and prepares orders, packaging for shipment.
• Rotates yard stock and safely moves materials using a forklift.
• Maintains clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborates with the team to ensure branch success and provide excellent customer service.

This position performs an array of functions including:

• Review order documents to prepare for accurate product pulling for customers
• Daily expectations: 70% Drive forklift loading/unloading trailers. 30% Manually sorting and staging material in the yard.
• Safely use a forklift
• Maintain yard stock in a clean and organized manner
