Job summary

Agri Supply is seeking a full-time yard associate to greet customers, assist with loading merchandise, and maintain a safe, organized outdoor space. You will operate forklifts or pallet jacks to move stock, assemble simple components, and ensure accurate loading for customers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers on the yard and upsell products when possible.
  • Load purchased merchandise into customers' vehicles with pallet jack or forklift.
  • Unload and prep incoming yard freight; move inventory to yard locations.
  • Follow safety guidelines and complete audits and safety checks.
  • Install trailer hitches, tool boxes, inflate tires and prep for prepaid customers.
  • Read blueprints and assemble components as required.
  • Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance and keep yard clean.
  • Work in all weather conditions and assist with loading and staging equipment.

Job Duties:
  • Provide a positive customer experience by greeting and assisting customers on the yard. Respond to customer inquiries and upsell products when possible.
  • Review the loading ticket and load purchased merchandise into the customers' vehicle manually or with approved machinery (pallet jack, forklift, etc) quickly and efficiently.
  • Unload, examine, and prep all incoming yard freight. Manually or with machinery (forklift or pallet jack), move new inventory into the designated locations on the yard. Notify the lead or store management of any damaged or missing product.
  • Follow company safety guidelines and basic safety practices at all times
  • Complete required audits and safety checks.
  • Install trailer hitches, and tool boxes, inflate and mount tires, lubricate parts, paint merchandise, etc. for pre-paid customers.
  • Read and decipher blueprints and assembly instructions. Use hand tools or machines to complete assembly.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fits, fastening parts, and removing small quantities of metal with hand files and scrappers to produce correct fits between parts.
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following the manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and notifying the lead when outside repairs are needed.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in order to promote a safe and clean working environment out on the yard and in the shop.
  • Any and all other duties assigned by management
  • It requires working in all weather conditions - hot, cold, raining. Job duties are loading customer purchases with either the Genie or a tractor, assemble equipment, stage equipment in the yard, keep the yard organized and clean.
Qualifications for the position:

  • Physical stamina, strength, dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.
  • Possess a sense of urgency required to work in a deadline-driven environment.
Physical Expectations:

During the job, employees are regularly required to stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods, use their hands to handle or control objects, and perform tasks that involve reaching, climbing, kneeling, or crouching. The role involves frequently lifting or moving up to 25 pounds, with occasional requirements to handle more with assistance or equipment. Employees must also be able to push and pull using various equipment. Specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, are necessary. Verbal communication and the ability to hear are also required for safety and coordination.
