Job summary

Forge & Build is seeking a Yard Associate in Hartselle, AL, to maintain daily yard operations and deliver excellent customer service while upholding safety standards. Schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with overtime and weekend shifts.

The role requires high school education, strong math and inventory skills, and the ability to work safely in outdoor conditions. You will support loading, unloading, and inventory procedures and participate in continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience delivering a great customer experience.
• Basic math proficiency for quantities and inventory counts.
• Proven organizational, time management, detail orientation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective and consistent communication with internal and external customers.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Desire to learn and improve.

Responsibilities

• Manage yard inventory control and procedures, including staging, loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, cycle counts, and transfers.
• Maintain a safe, hazard-free, and organized yard in accordance with company standards.
• Ensure all safety requirements and training are completed.
• Deliver a high standard of customer experience.
• Communicate issues that could impact the business to the Store Manager in a timely and effective manner.
• Assist with various other duties as assigned by the Yard Supervisor or Store Manager
