Job description

Peninsula Powder Coating seeks full-time, afternoon shift Yard Associates/Forklift Operators to join their team in Baraga, Michigan.

WHAT WE OFFER.

  • $16.00 – $20.00 per hour starting pay based on experience.

SCHEDULE.This is a full-time position, Monday to Thursday, from3:30 PM to 2:00 AM. Flexibility in scheduling may be required based on production demands.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience operating forklifts required as you will load and unload trucks and move parts around various work areas.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, climb; load/unload heavy objects with assistance (up to 100 lbs.).
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions (hot, cold, humid, windy, rainy, snowy, etc.)
  • Exceptional work ethic required.
  • You are organized, reliable, and work well individually and as a team leader.
  • Ability to work in an environment that has paint and primer fumes, uses cleaning chemicals, and related chemicals used to coat and clean industrial products.
  • Practice safe work practices by lifting properly, wearing protective equipment/clothing (safety glasses, footwear, respirators, hardhats, hearing protection, etc. as needed) and maintain a safe work environment always.
  • Willingness to assist other production areas when needed.
  • You work well under time constraints and can ensure deadlines are met.
