Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. in Houston, TX is seeking a Gate Attendant to manage yard access, monitor security, and coordinate with drivers and subcontractors.

You will log crane movements, report daily activity, and maintain a clean, orderly gate area in compliance with procedures and safety rules.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, the ability to lift 25 pounds, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain gate access and ensure the gate shack is always covered during regular business hours.
• Maintains security by following procedures, and monitoring logbook.
• Alert the team via email anytime a crane enters or leaves the yard and submit daily reports summarizing the activity for the day.
• Maintains a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Walkaround, inspect and document every load leaving the yard to ensure the securing method complies with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Communicate in a professional, organized, and clear manner to subcontractors and customer drivers.
• Keep the working area in the gate office organized and clean.
