Colorado State University’s Analytical Resources Core (ARC) seeks a postdoctoral associate to support the X-ray Laboratory and develop new workflows for the D8 Venture SCXRD and Anton Paar XRDynamic 500 XRD instruments. The role includes independent experiments, instrument maintenance, and training users while collaborating with Dr. Ethan Crace and Prof.

Qualifications

• PhD in chemistry, materials science or physics or related field.
• Familiarity with x-ray diffraction instrumentation and safety.
• Experience with powder or single-crystal XRD data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop experimental workflows, SOPs, and guides for total scattering data.
• Independently perform X-ray diffraction/scattering experiments.
• Train and assist x-ray instrument users on procedures and data analysis.
• Document experiments in an organized research notebook.
• Maintain x-ray instrumentation and log activities.
• Communicate results clearly to colleagues and customers.
