Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Radiology Manager and/or Assistant Chief Technologist, performs a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex imaging equipment to produce quality radiographic images as requested for subsequent interpretation by the radiologist. All duties are performed according to departmental and organizational policies and procedures. Promotes service excellence in all interactions as outlined in the Key Behaviors in the YNHH Core Success Factors. To meet the staffing needs of the department, Diagnostic Radiology staff may be assigned at any of the YNHH Diagnostic Radiology locations, regardless of your regularly assigned work location.

Education: Graduation from an A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program. AS degree preferred but not required with relevant experience.
Experience: Demonstrated technical skills to meet entry level standards of routine radiography. RT(R) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Connecticut State License, and CPR Certification preferred.
Licensure: ARRT and Connecticut State License.
Special Skills: Proficient in routine Radiography CR/Digital imaging techniques, above average knowledge of computer/PACS applications, and good organizational and communication/customer service skills.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds to assist with patient transfers.
