Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners is seeking a qualified X-ray Technician to join our radiology team. The role involves greeting patients, guiding them to imaging rooms, and performing diagnostic X-rays using PACS and Medic systems.

You will manage data entry, file retrieval, and CD creation while upholding HIPAA standards and maintaining imaging supplies. Qualified candidates will have a Connecticut X-ray license, ARRT registration, and a radiology program completion.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of radiology (2-year program).
• Connecticut X-ray technician license.
• ARRT registered.
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
• Orthopedic experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and courteously.
• Escort patients to X-ray rooms or exam rooms.
• Enter data for each X-ray in PACS in a timely manner.
• Perform diagnostic X-rays as requested.
• Interact with physicians, patients and colleagues.
• Maintain and order X-ray supplies.
• File/retrieve X-rays and create CDs of digital X-rays.
• Use Medic and PACS systems to locate patient files.
• Erases cassettes for imaging weekly.
• Follow HIPAA rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
