Responsibilities/Duties:

What you’ll do:

• Greet patients promptly and pleasantly.
• Escort patients to X-ray and exam rooms.
• Enter data for each X-ray into the PACS system in a timely manner.
• Perform diagnostic X-rays as requested.
• Communicate appropriately with physicians, patients, and colleagues.
• Maintain and order X-ray supplies.
• File and retrieve X-rays, including OR lists.
• Create copies of films and digital X-ray CDs.
• Use Medic and PACS systems to locate patient files.
• Erase imaging cassettes weekly.
• Follow all HIPAA rules.
• Perform other duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Who you are:

• Graduate of an approved school of radiology (two-year course) required.
• Valid Connecticut X-ray technician license; ARRT registered.
• Minimum two years of experience as an X-ray technician preferred.
• Orthopedic experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
