Job Summary

Xray Technologist in Gunnison, Colorado. This position involves producing and processing images of the human anatomy using radiology and fluoroscopy techniques to assist radiologists in diagnosing disease or injury. The role requires proper patient positioning, operation of technical equipment, and administration of contrast materials, with a focus on delivering diagnostic-quality images in compliance with clinical guidelines.

Job Details

• Position: Xray Technologist
• Specialty: XRAY TECH
• Location: Gunnison, Colorado
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Certifications/Education Requirements: Certified in and registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent; may or may not be state licensed radiography
• Years of Experience: 1 year minimum required, default to 0 if not specified
• Additional information: Colorado adult protective services (CAPS) check required; rural Gunnison does not have public transportation, reliable personal transportation necessary
• Responsibilities include:
  • Operating diversified technical equipment and software
  • Producing diagnostic images of specific anatomies, such as chest, gastrointestinal tract, or orthopedic areas
  • Setting proper exposure factors and positioning patients according to A.L.A.R.A. guidelines
