American Traveler is hiring a travel Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with at least 2 years of experience, including required OR/C-arm proficiency, for a 13-week night shift assignment at an acute care hospital in Colorado.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in a General Radiology / X-Ray department
- Department has 3 X-Ray rooms and 5 portable units
- Common imaging includes OR, portables, and outpatient exams
- Average of 20–30 exams per day
- May float to the Pain Clinic when needed
- Uses Epic EMR and PACS
- Equipment includes Siemens rooms, Shimadzu and Carestream portables
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Tuesday through Thursday, with call and weekend coverage
- Call is required for this position
- No routine weekend or holiday requirements, though Memorial Day coverage may occasionally be needed
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience
- OR/C-arm experience is required
- Active ARRT (R) certification required; pending certifications are not accepted
- Active BLS (AHA) certification required
- Active state or compact (NLC) radiologic technology license required if applicable; pending licenses are not accepted
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; driver's license is used to verify permanent address
Additional Information
- Perform OR imaging, portable exams, and outpatient X-Ray studies
- In-house IR/PA radiologists are on staff
- Travelers are expected to be on-site for the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
- Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
- Royal blue scrubs required; hospital-provided OR scrubs are also acceptable
- Agency is responsible for providing the traveler's radiation dosimetry badge
