RWJBarnabas Health in Morristown, NJ is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform diagnostic radiography and support the orthopedic and trauma teams. The role requires patient-focused care, precise image acquisition, and effective communication with physicians and staff.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year experience in an x-ray department in a hospital or physician's office.
• 1-3 years experience as an x-ray technician performing diagnostic radiography.
• Certification by American Registry of Radiographic Technologist license and New Jersey state license.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook is required.
• CPR Certification approved by AHA.

Responsabilidades

• 40 x-rays per day with multiple views for Sports Medicine, Trauma and Joint Replacement, Upper/Lower Extremities and Spine.
• Assist physicians with evaluation, treatment and special procedures.
• Coordinate reading of all x-ray films with physicians and maintain patient records and logs.
• Prepare patients for physician evaluation and ensure patient confidentiality.

A typical day for an X-Ray Technician may include:

• 40 x-rays per day
• Multiple views for Sports Medicine, Trauma and Joint Replacement, Upper Ext, Lower Ext, and Spine
• Assists physician with evaluation and treatment of patient
• Assists physician with special procedures
• Coordinates the reading of all x-ray films with physician
• Initiating and maintaining correspondence with patients and insurance companies
• Maintains accurate record of all x-ray films to include appropriate log entries, x-ray documentation for jackets and accurate filing of films
• Performs basic functions such as photocopying, scanning and faxing
• Performs basic radiologist tests and oversees the production of x-rays
• Prepares patients for physician evaluation
• Relays information to patients regarding preparation of laboratory tests and examinations Arranges examining room instruments and equipment and keeps the examining rooms neat and clean
• Represents the clinic in a professional manner in person, in telephone conversations, and in written correspondence
• Respects and maintains privacy and dignity of patients and assures patient confidentiality at all times
• Takes patients' medical history, information pertaining to the patients' visit to the doctor and record vital signs of patients to help the doctor with diagnosis

To be considered for this X-Ray Technician opportunity, you must:
