Responsibilities include operating radiographic equipment, preparing patients, and collaborating with the radiology team to meet physician orders and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT (R) certification required.
• Current state Radiologic Technologist license if required by the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Recent diagnostic radiology or acute care imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Follow radiation safety principles and maintain compliance with ALARA standards.
• Verify patient identity, procedure accuracy, and image quality before submission.
• Maintain accurate documentation and electronic medical records.
• Assist with equipment quality control and report equipment issues as needed.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
