Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent's St. Johns County Hospital in Saint Johns, FL seeks a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography for a day shift, full-time role.

You will follow radiation safety procedures, protect patients from unnecessary exposure, and ensure high-quality images for PACS while verifying patient data and maintaining equipment performance. Florida ARRT radiography credential and BLS are required. This position offers growth opportunities within Ascension.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography credential required prior to hire date.
• Florida radiologic technologist license required prior to hire date.
• BLS provider certification within 1 month of hire.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Ensure equipment is properly functioning.
• Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
  

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Florida license requirements not applicable to associates working in Georgia.
  

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
