Job summary

Arthritis & Rheumatism Associates, P.C. is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform X-ray and DEXA imaging across multiple locations with a focus on patient safety and quality.

The role includes operating advanced radiographic equipment and coordinating with physicians in Frederick, MD and Rockville, MD. The position offers a 4-day work week (Mon-Thu), competitive hourly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package including insurance options, 401K, paid time off, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Radiography or higher is required.
• Current Radiographers Certification with ARRT is required.
• Bone densitometry certification is preferred.
• State licensure in MD/VA (and future states) is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate RadMediX DR, Samsung DR, and GE Lunar Prodigy radiographic equipment.
• Perform diagnostic X-ray films and DEXA exams as directed by physicians.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Document clinical histories and submit billing charges.
• Manage image transfer to PACS.
• Utilize Outlook for administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with Radiology Manager and healthcare team.
• Maintain X-ray and DEXA rooms and stock supplies.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
• Attend staff meetings and pursue growth opportunities.
• Performs related work as required.

LOCATION: Monday - Wednesday in Frederick, MD and Thursday in Rockville, MD

HOURS: 4 DAY WORK WEEK - Monday - Thursday (Full-Time)

PAY: $34-40/hr depending on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate RadMediX DR, Samsung DR, and GE Lunar Prodigy radiographic equipment.
• Perform diagnostic X-ray films and DEXA exams as directed by physicians.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Document clinical histories and submit billing charges.
• Manage image transfer to Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS).
• Utilize Microsoft Office- Outlook for administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the Radiology Manager and healthcare team.
• Maintain X-ray and DEXA rooms, stock necessary equipment/supplies.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Attend staff meetings and pursue professional growth opportunities.
• Performs related work as required to meet the needs of the company.

REQUIREMENTS

• Associate's Degree in Radiography or higher
• Current Radiographers Certification with ARRT
• ARRT Bone Densitometry Certification (preferred)
• Radiographer licensure in Maryland, Virginia, and any future states
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a radiologic technologist
• In-depth knowledge of radiology equipment and protocols
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to position patients accurately for optimal imaging
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and image management systems
• Flexible schedule and willingness to travel to other offices if needed
• Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality
