Google's XR team is building the future of immersive computing. As Head of Silicon Systems and Architecture, you will define hardware foundations through silicon for next-gen headsets and glasses, integrating SoCs with Google's perception and software stacks to deliver compelling user experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 8 years of silicon engineering, system integration, hardware design or architecture.
• 5 years of technical leadership with direct reports.
• Experience shipping consumer electronics to mass production.
• Ability to align across Core Tech, Platform SW, HW NTI and external silicon partners.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive multi-year silicon roadmap across APs, co-processors, and connectivity.
• Lead deep-dives into CPUs, GPUs, ISPs, DSPs, NPUs for AI-on-edge and low-power sensing.
• Architect split-compute topologies enabling XR offload to phones or cloud.
• Bridge between Google Core Tech, Platform SW, HW NTI and external vendors.
• Build and mentor a team of system architects and oversee integration and validation.
