Northern Jet is seeking an experienced Pilot-in-Command for a high-end Part 91/135 flight mix out of Grand Rapids, MI. You’ll be responsible for safe, compliant mission execution, leadership of the crew, and delivering white-glove client service on every trip.

The role typically flies 450+ hours per year, with an 8-on/6-off schedule, and includes strong incentives, including base pay of $146,250 and total first-year compensation above $175,000, plus bonuses for additional roles.

Competitive Pay and Incentives:

• Base salary of $146,250 with total compensation of over $175,000 first year
• Daily and annual pay incentives, including:
• Scheduled Day Off (SDO): $1,150 for PIC.
• Holiday Pay: $800.
• Additional roles (e.g., Standardization Captain, Instructor) offer bonuses up to $20,000.

About this Role:

As Pilot-in-Command, you are responsible for the safe, compliant, and seamless execution of every mission, while delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate flights under Part 91 and Part 135 regulations
• Ensure full compliance with FAA regulations, duty limits, and company procedures
• Lead and coordinate all aspects of flight execution with your crew
• Maintain aircraft safety, readiness, and reporting standards
• Deliver a white-glove client experience aligned with Northern Jet standards
• Complete required administrative and operational documentation

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As Captain, you will operate flights under both Part 91 and Part 135 on-demand, ensuring the seamless execution of missions while maintaining full compliance with FAA regulations related to flight operations, duty hours, and pilot qualifications. You will follow company procedures for reporting any discrepancies with the aircraft during flight or ground operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing administrative tasks as assigned by company management.

PIC Minimum Qualifications

• 3,000 Total Time
• 1,500 PIC Time
• 500+ hours of Multi-Engine Time
• Current 1st Class Medical

No accidents, incidents, or warnings within the past five years.

• Thorough knowledge of corporate aviation and international procedures, including operations in Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Maintain an impeccable professional appearance at all times.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering the highest level of customer service.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Successfully pass a drug screening test.
• Clear a comprehensive background check.
• Must possess a valid drivers license and maintain a clean driving record.
