Job summary

The Role

The selected candidate will be responsible for inspecting structural fabrication, assembly installation and repair work to ensure compliance with approved drawings, procedures and customer requirements.

Must Have

• Knowledge of structural steel fabrication and ship construction practices.
• Ability to work safely in confined spaces, elevated areas, dry docks, tanks and onboard vessels.

Nice to Have

• High School graduate or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous shipyard, structural fabrication, welding or quality inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, weld symbols and specifications.
• Ability to perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
