Job summary

Virginia Urology is seeking a Radiology Technologist to work in clinic and ambulatory surgery settings, using state-of-the-art imaging equipment under the imaging director. You will join a diverse team to provide safe, efficient patient care across multiple locations.

The role requires ARRT certification and Virginia license, with an Associate degree in radiography. Strong communication, independence, and patient safety are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiography or radiologic technology.
• ARRT certification and Virginia state license.
• Able to work independently while coordinating with clinical staff.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and empathy with patients and families.
• Experience in imaging department and/or urology practice is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Use radiologic imaging to diagnose and treat patients as ordered.
• Explain procedures in lay terms and confirm patient understanding.
• Prepare, position, and immobilize patients for scans.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Notify radiologist of results and identify those needing immediate attention.
• Collaborate with radiologists, urologists, imaging director, and staff for patient care.
• Work various shifts and office locations; department hours 7:00a–5:00p.
