Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech I) to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in a clinical setting. The posting notes potential advancement to X-ray Tech II based on skills and experience, with a $30,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, adherence to imaging protocols, and collaboration with licensed practitioners to ensure accurate diagnoses while maintaining safety and ALARA standards.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire.
• Advancement to level 2 within 24 months for eligible hires.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct patient identification and exam preparation.
• Apply imaging protocols and ALARA principles to optimize safety.
• Administer/prepare medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluate image quality and ensure proper archival transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
• Assist licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic procedures.
• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed, including in OR, ICU, etc.
