At Fast Pace Urgent Care, X-Ray Techs provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. They provide outstanding patient service, maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment in addition to imaging. The X-Ray Tech will provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using, excellent, in-depth knowledge as well as communicating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill all responsibilities of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist positions as detailed in their respective job descriptions.
• Deliver clinical and administrative support for the team and adhere to all policies and procedures of the company.
• Monitor and track x-ray orders for timely completion and submission.
• Assist patients with proper positioning during exams to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with department expectations and comply with regulations including HIPAA.
• Review exam images for initial read by provider and send final images to Radiology group for over read.
• Label all images correctly, confirm no artifacts are present, and ensure proper technique is used.
• Address minor maintenance issues with machines and follow up with the appropriate personnel.
• Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
• Maintain and distribute pregnancy waiver forms where applicable.
• Perform triage tasks such as checking vitals, collecting clinical history, and performing basic nursing tasks as applicable.
• Monitor radiation badges and wear radiation monitors as required.
• Complete mandatory compliance training and support onboarding of new employees.
• Build positive relations with colleagues and patients, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Perform physical, sensory, cognitive, and environmental functions of the position as specified.
• Adhere to company standards and core values.

Experience and License Requirements

• Active ARRT License (Registered Technologist) and State License, verifiable and in good standing.
• TB and IV Certification required within 60 days of employment if applicable.

Education and Additional Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Certifications and experience levels vary, with detailed responsibilities and qualifications outlined for each level of technologist (full scope and limited scope), including experience, training, and responsibilities such as ultrasound, casting, and ultrasound procedures.
