NextCare Urgent Care in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Radiology Technician (RT) or PTR/Medical Assistant with a focus on fast-paced, team-centered care. You will perform radiology duties, support providers, and ensure patient safety in our urgent care setting.

Ideal candidates hold a valid RT or PTR credential, CPR, and a radiology certificate or accredited MA program with CMA/AMT/CCMA certification. A commitment to EMR/EHR proficiency and high-quality patient care is essential.

Formación

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Diploma or certificate from an accredited radiology school is required.
National certification via CMA/AMT/CCMA is acceptable if completing an unapproved MA program.

Responsabilidades

Performs radiology duties within scope of practice and regulations.
Assists providers with exams and patient care under supervision.
Administers medications per policy and adheres to safety protocols.
May collect urine samples for employer drug screens.
May perform splinting and casting.
Conducts physicals where applicable.
Notifies provider and Clinic Manager of issues as needed.
Proficient in EMR/EHR and clinic procedures.

NextCare Urgent Care is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) / Medical Assistant that likes the challenge of a fast pace setting and working in a team environment. Responsibilities

The Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) / Medical Assistant is responsible for performing patient care duties under the Radiology & Medical Assistant scope of practice in the urgent care setting as follows:

Performs radiology duties within the scope of practice as stated in NextCare Policies and Procedures, as well as the state appropriate Radiation Rules and Regulations.
Assists provider with exams (including patient vitals), procedures and other processes related to direct patient care under direct supervision of the Provider and within the scope of practice of a Medical Assistant.
Administers all forms of medications per policy and under Provider direction and adheres to all safety protocols and procedures for medication administration.
May be responsible for urine collection for various testing to include employer drug screens
May perform splinting and casting
Conduct various type physicals such as sports physicals
Performs other related duties specific to urgent care such as wound care and oxygen administration.
Notifies the provider on duty promptly of all unusual patient occurrences including medication events on an incident report.
Promptly notifies the Clinic Manager of patient or employee safety concerns.
Follows guidelines and requirements of laboratory and clinical accreditation policies.
Must be proficient in EMR/EHR
Performs other related duties as assigned or described by Company policy.

The Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) / Medical Assistant supports the organization with customer service and treating all of our patients with respect and dignity. They provide patient care services in the back office urgent care setting, which will meet the specific needs of the patient.

Essential Education, Experience And Skills

Education: Minimum

of high school diploma or equivalent; AND diploma or certificate from an accredited radiology school

Completed an UNAPPROVED (non-accredited) Medical Assistant training program AND a National Certification through one of the following:
American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) - administers the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam and certification; or
American Medical Technologists (AMT) -- provides the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) exam and certification to individuals who have completed the AMT criteria; or
National Healthcareer Association (NHA)-administers the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam and certification

License:

Certified Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR)

Certification:

Current healthcare professional level CPR certification issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety Health Institute or National Safety
