Overview
Radiology Technologist (RT) / Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) role at NextCare. NextCare is a leader in high access healthcare offering urgent care, occupational health, virtual health and primary care services with locations across eleven states and over 165 urgent care clinics.
Responsibilities
- Performs radiology duties within the scope of practice as stated in NextCare Policies and Procedures, and in accordance with state Radiation Rules and Regulations.
- Assists providers with exams (including patient vitals) and other direct patient care under supervision and within scope of practice.
- Administers medications per policy under Provider direction and adheres to safety protocols.
- May collect urine samples for testing, including employer drug screens.
- May perform splinting and casting; conduct various types of physicals such as sports physicals.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or described by company policy.
- Notifies the provider on duty of unusual patient occurrences and medication events via incident reports; notifies Clinic Manager of patient or employee safety concerns.
- Follows laboratory and clinical accreditation policies and is proficient in EMR/EHR.

Essential Education, Experience And Skills
- Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; and diploma or certificate from an accredited radiology school and/or equivalent experience.
- License: Certified Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR).
- Certification: Current healthcare professional level CPR certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety Health Institute or National Safety).
