Akumin is seeking a qualified X-Ray Technologist for our Clearwater, FL facility in a PRN capacity. The role focuses on high-quality diagnostic imaging with strict radiation safety and documentation, while ensuring clear communication with radiologists and patients.

Responsibilities include equipment troubleshooting, potential training of new staff, and adherence to safety protocols. Certification and state licensing requirements apply where applicable, with travel locally as needed.

• CPR certification required
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred
• Willingness to travel locally if needed
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic x-ray images with attention to radiation safety and proper documentation
• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening and aseptic technique when applicable
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists and other staff
• Train new radiologic technologists or patient coordinators as needed
• Troubleshoot x-ray unit and peripheral equipment (PACS, etc.)

We are currently hiring for an X-Ray Technologist at our Clearwater, FL facility. This will be a PRN position.

The Radiology Technologist is responsible high quality diagnostic digital x-ray images with special attention to radiation/safety regulations, including proper documentation and techniques. Responsible for ensuring effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. As applicable may assist in training new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Produces high quality diagnostic x-ray images. Special attention to radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with patients and radioactive materials.
• Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique etc.
• Effectively communicates with customers and radiologists.
• May train new Radiologic Technologists and/or PC’s.
• Trouble-shoots the X-ray unit and all peripheral equipment (including: computers, PACS, etc.).

Position Requirements:

• HighSchool Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• ARRT (R) and state license, if applicable required.
• CPR certification required.
• As applicable, valid state driver’s license.
