Fort HealthCare in Fort Atkinson, WI is seeking an X-Ray Tech to perform quality imaging for diagnostic support while minimizing patient radiation exposure.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, technique optimization, and collaboration with Radiologists. Requires ARRT certification, WI licensure, and a Radiologic Technology credential; 1+ year experience preferred. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification upon hire and Wisconsin licensure.
• 1+ years radiography experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Cerner and PACS systems.

Responsibilities

• Positions patients properly to obtain quality radiographs.
• Optimizes technique selection for appropriate contrast and density.
• Protects patients from unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Interacts with Radiologists for imaging requests and protocols.
• Assists during fluoroscopic C-ARM procedures.
• Documents images for radiologist review and dictation.
• Administers contrast per protocol and responds to reactions.
• Maintains and cleans equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
• Understanding scheduling to assist others as needed.

FTE: Occasional Part Time/PRN

The X-Ray Tech performs quality imaging that assists the provider in diagnoses while minimizing the amount of radiation delivered to the patient.

Responsibilities of this position include:

• Positions patients properly to obtain quality radiographs. Develop rapport with the patient exuding confidence and knowledge relevant to the procedure/exam being performed.
• Optimizes technique selection to provide the appropriate contrast and density of area being imaged.
• Takes appropriate steps to protect the patient from unnecessary exposure to radiation.
• Interacts with the Radiologists to provide the appropriate requests on additional imaging needed for protocol driven exams.
• Assists the Radiologist or provider during fluoroscopic C-ARM procedures.
• Appropriately documents the images to notify the Radiologist that the exam is ready for dictation.
• Administer contrast material according to protocol driven procedures and has the knowledge to respond appropriately in the event of a contrast based reaction.
• Maintains the integrity of the equipment and cleans the equipment to minimize any cross contamination.
• Understands the scheduling process to assist others as needed.

Requirements for this position include:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required (Associates, Bachelors, or equivalent).
• 1+ years of Radiography experience preferred.
• Possesses knowledge of different computer applications (Cerner, Change PACS)
• ARRT certification upon hire and Wisconsin Licensure
