Job summary

VillageMD is seeking an X-Ray & Medical Technologist to perform quality X-ray imaging in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will document encounters in the EMR and coordinate with aftercare and radiologists to ensure timely, accurate results.

The role requires graduation from an accredited X-ray technologist program and 4–6 months of related experience. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential for patient safety and care quality.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited X-ray Technologist program.
• 4-6 months experience as a X-ray Technologist.
• Explain, process, and position patient for X-ray; adjust exposure factors.
• Determine patient's X-ray needs by reading physician instructions.
• Use beam restricting devices and patient shielding to minimize radiation exposure.

Responsibilities

• Perform common X-ray studies (Chest, Extremity, Spinal, Abdomen) within expected times.
• Document and communicate X-ray studies in EMR between provider, Aftercare and radiologists.
• Document for multiple patients per hour in EMR.
• Facilitate diagnostic tests (CT, MRI, ultrasound) and referrals via Aftercare.
• Assist physician with procedures within Scribe scope (EKG, set-ups).
• Communicate with patients, pharmacies and physicians under physician guidance.
• Maintain QA log book and pregnancy form.
• Provide compassionate care to patients and assist with training.
