Position Overview

The X-Ray Technologist I is responsible for performing primary diagnostic examinations, creating a calm environment to help patients follow examination instructions effectively.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Identify anatomical orientation on images and ensure proper file identification
  • Perform radiographic procedures competently and operate related equipment
  • Greet patients, obtain medical history, and record information in the system
  • Perform high-quality x-rays and ensure patient safety from radiation
  • Monitor vital signs during procedures
  • Provide coverage during staff absences or extended schedules
  • Mentor new hires and maintain CPR certification
  • Adhere to Standards of Care, facility, regulatory, and ARRT standards
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure a positive patient experience
  • Submit diagnostic images of quality, perform quality assurance, and utilize systems proficiently
  • Make informed decisions considering various options
  • Contribute to efficient outpatient operations and utilize sterile techniques
  • Review examinations for accuracy and communicate findings to relevant staff
  • Promote teamwork and meet deadlines with accountability and flexibility
  • Engage in professional development and maintain certifications
  • Keep examination rooms clean
Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ARRT certified
  • Ability to use or learn to use computerized systems

Preferred:

  • Associate or Baccalaureate degree in radiography or related fields
  • Over 1 year of general radiologic technologist experience
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
Physical Demands
  • Standing and walking for long periods
  • Lifting items up to 50 pounds and patients up to 300 pounds
  • Correctable eyesight to 20/20

The hourly pay range is $23.70 to $46.35, based on full-time employment, experience, and other factors. We offer comprehensive benefits, incentives, and development opportunities.
