The X Ray Limited Scope & Medical Support Specialist performs routine x-ray, medical, and testing procedures under direct supervision of the treating clinician, supporting various facility operations including registration and referral management. This role involves performing routine X-ray examinations in accordance with Concentra policies, practices, and regulations, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

X-ray Technician Duties

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, assist with positioning, and ensure patient safety and comfort during x-ray exams.
• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, adjusting controls for proper exposure and positioning.
• Utilize radiation safety measures and protective devices.
• Maintain and report on radiologic equipment functionality, including calibration and QA/QC procedures.

Medical Support Specialist Duties

• Perform drug and alcohol testing, physical examinations, and ancillary testing like phlebotomy and immunizations.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures, including applying dressings, dispensing medications, and maintaining medical equipment and supplies.
• Handle clerical tasks such as patient check-in/out, documentation, and maintaining a clean facility environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of state-approved Limited Scope Technician certification and license, if applicable.
• CPR/First Aid certification.

Experience & Skills

• At least six months of medical assistant experience and familiarity with medical procedures and terminology.
• Experience in X-ray and routine medical procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational medicine requirements and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate professionally.
