Overview

At Fast Pace Urgent Care, X-Ray Techs provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. They deliver outstanding patient service, maintain a compassionate atmosphere, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment, including imaging. The X-Ray Tech will also provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers through knowledge and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist as outlined in their respective job descriptions.
• Support clinical and administrative functions, adhere to policies and procedures.
• Monitor and manage x-ray orders for timely completion and submission.
• Assist patients with positioning to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Ensure activities comply with department standards and regulations, including HIPAA.
• Review and send exam images for provider review and radiology over-read.
• Label images correctly, ensure artifact-free images, and use proper techniques.
• Address minor machine maintenance issues and report problems promptly.
• Maintain equipment, clean exam areas, and adhere to safety protocols such as radiation monitoring.
• Support patient triage, including vitals, clinical history, blood draws, injections, and medication administration if applicable.
• Participate in compliance training and onboarding of new staff.
• Maintain positive relations with colleagues and patients, fostering a friendly work environment.

Experience and Certification Requirements

• Active ARRT License and State License (if applicable), in good standing.
• TB and IV Certification within 60 days of employment, if required in your state.

Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
