At Fast Pace Urgent Care, X-Ray Techs provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. They deliver outstanding patient service, maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment, including imaging. The X-Ray Tech will provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge and communicating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities:

• Fulfill all responsibilities of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist as detailed in their respective job descriptions.
• Deliver clinical and administrative support, adhering to all policies and procedures.
• Monitor and track X-ray orders for timely completion and submission.
• Assist patients with proper positioning to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Ensure activities comply with department expectations and regulations, including HIPAA.
• Review exam images for initial provider read and send final images for over-read.
• Label all images correctly with laterality and ensure no artifacts are present, noting any issues in the patient's history.
• Address minor maintenance issues with equipment and coordinate with the clinic staff for repairs.
• Maintain and distribute pregnancy waiver forms as applicable.
• Perform triage, record vitals, clinical history, blood draws, injections, and administer medications when applicable.
• Monitor and report on radiation badges and ensure radiation monitors are worn at all times.
• Complete mandatory compliance training and support new employee onboarding and training.
• Maintain friendly relations with colleagues and clients, fostering a positive work environment.
• Perform physical, sensory, cognitive, and environmental functions required for the role.

Experience and Licensure Requirements:

• Active ARRT License (Registered Technologist) and State License.
• TB and IV Certification required within 60 days of employment, maintained during employment if applicable.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
