At Fast Pace Urgent Care, X-Ray Techs provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. They deliver outstanding patient service, maintain a compassionate atmosphere, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment, including imaging. The X-Ray Tech also provides excellent customer service, communicates effectively with team members, and uses their knowledge to support patient care.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill all responsibilities of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist roles as outlined in their descriptions.
• Provide clinical and administrative support, adhere to policies, and track X-ray orders for timely completion.
• Assist patients with positioning for exams to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Conduct activities in compliance with regulations like HIPAA and department standards.
• Review and send images for provider review and over-read.
• Label images accurately, ensure artifact-free images, and use proper techniques.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment, monitor equipment condition, and maintain cleanliness.
• Manage pregnancy waiver forms, triage patients, and perform basic nursing tasks if applicable.
• Monitor radiation badges and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Complete mandatory compliance training and support new employee onboarding and training.
• Maintain positive relations with staff and patients, and perform physical and environmental functions as required.

Experience and Licensing Requirements

• Active ARRT and State licenses, in good standing.
• TB and IV certifications to be obtained within 60 days if applicable.

Education and Experience Levels

Various levels from high school diploma with CPR to extensive experience in radiologic technology, with specific responsibilities and training for each level, including ultrasound procedures and orthoglass techniques.
