Job summary

American Family Care, Inc. performs radiographic and diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and disease. The role supports administrative and clinical MA needs, including patient registration and medical assisting duties.

Greet patients, position them for imaging, ensure ALARA safety, and process images for reading by physicians. The position may involve acting as an on-site Medical Receptionist or MA as needed and collaborating with franchise sites.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred.
• Licensed per state regulation; in some states Medical Assistant Certification or registry may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate manner.
• Position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques.
• Process images and prepare for physician review by radiologist.
• Assist with prescribed patient treatments per standards, policies and protocols.
• Perform routine maintenance and arrange repairs as needed.
• Complete forms and maintain records and logs of work performed.
• Serve as Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant as needed.
