Job summary

FlexStaff is seeking an X-Ray Technician for a permanent, full-time role in a Bronx, NY clinic. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with duties including X-ray imaging, patient prep, and ensuring images reach PACS.

Requirements include NY licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, ARRT, BLS, a Bachelor's degree, and at least two years of experience. Spanish or another language is a plus. This role supports a large city health system in a clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Requires New York State Radiologic Technologist license.
• ARRT certification.
• BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience.
• Knowledge of radiology and human anatomy.
• Computer literacy required.
• Spanish or second language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine high-quality radiographic imaging including X-ray and DEXA.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures.
• Ensure images are properly completed and sent to PACS.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report unusual findings.
• Maintain equipment, perform QA checks, and report malfunctions.
• Clean and disinfect rooms and equipment per infection control policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and complete documentation.
• Assist with inventory and departmental support.
• Help orient and train new staff.
• Respond to patient questions with professionalism and care.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and meetings.
