Job summary

City of Hope Irvine is seeking an X-Ray Technologist II for nights/variable shifts in Diagnostic Imaging. You will operate X-ray equipment, prepare procedure rooms, assist during exams, and provide documentation for tracking and billing.

You will also perform radiologic procedures, including General Radiography, while prioritizing patient safety. As a key patient contact, you’ll ensure imaging needs are met and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities to support lifesaving cancer

Qualifications

• Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• 2 years in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, preferred.
• Must be cross trained into another specialized imaging modality other than basic X-ray. Other modalities are CT and MRI.
• AMA approved school of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
• CRT (Radiography and Fluoroscopy)
• ARRT
• CPR

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of radiologic procedures including General Radiography and crossed trained to another modality, either CT or MRI, within Diagnostic Imaging.
• Assist the radiologist, cardiologist, and/or clinician during radiologic procedures, including invasive and non-invasive studies.
• Prepare the patient, explains the procedure, and ensures patient’s cooperation during the examination.
