Job summary

Ortho Rhode Island Warwick is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to operate X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment in diagnostic imaging, supporting radiologists and physicians. The role involves patient prep, positioning, image capture, and safety compliance in a medical setting.

This part-time position requires an associate degree in radiologic technology, RI license, ARRT registration preferred, and 1–3 years of experience. On-site role with varied shifts and some travel between locations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited program.
• One to three years of experience as an X-ray technologist.
• ARRT registration preferred.
• X-Ray License RI.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures.
• Protects patients, self, and staff from radiation hazards.
• Takes X-rays following established procedures and safety standards.
• Sets up and operates radiographic equipment and infection controls.
• Positions patients and selects proper radiographic factors.
• Maintains records, logs, and monthly reports.
• Performs quality checks to meet standards and laws.
• Cleans and maintains radiographic equipment and supplies.
