NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for the Evening shift (3p-11p, Monday-Friday with alternate weekends and holidays) in New York, NY. The role involves operating x-ray equipment to generate radiographs and images, under radiologist direction and supervisor guidance.

Qualified candidates will be graduates of an AMA approved School of Radiology, hold a New York State Radiologic Technologist license (or obtain within 6 months), and preferably ARRT certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiology
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license from Department of Health (or able to obtain within 6 months of hire)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray equipment to produce radiographs and/or CT images as designated by the radiologist
• Work under the direction of a radiologist and department supervisor to maintain quality imaging
• Demonstrate precision and attention to safety in patient positioning and exposure factors
• Support the clinical team to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic imaging

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs and/or computer images of designated portions of the body, under the direction of a radiologist and the supervision of a department supervisor. While this is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility, you will play a critical role in maintaining our premier level of quality, in support of a world-class clinical team. Use your expertise in X-Ray technology to assist with the diagnosis of rare and complex cases. Expand your knowledge, alongside the most highly respected professionals in the field.

This is a evening shift position working 3p-11p Monday-Friday w/ alternate weekends and assigned holidays.

• Prior experience as a X-Ray Technologist in a hospital environment
