Job summary

Slocum is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assist physicians with patient care by performing diagnostic x-rays and ensuring image quality.

You will operate within ALARA safety standards, maintain NextGen EMR records, and help patients from check-in to discharge.

The role requires ARRT registration and an Oregon license, a Fifth-year certificate or 2–4 years experience, and a commitment to compassionate care.

Qualifications

  • Certificate or equivalent in radiologic technology.
  • ARRT registration or eligibility and Oregon license required.
  • Experience with EMR systems and imaging equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiographic x-rays per physician orders within state and federal standards.
  • Evaluates and processes images to ensure diagnostic quality.
  • Applies ALARA radiation safety practices to protect patients.
  • Maintains NextGen EMR patient records accurately.
  • Assists patients on/off the x-ray table and positions them properly.
  • Operates imaging detectors and equipment with care.
  • Performs other duties within the radiologic technologist scope.

ASSIST PHYSICIANS WITH PATIENT CARE

  • Performs x-ray in compliance withphysician's requests, operating within state and federal standards.
  • Processes and critiques requestedimages to assure proper quality.
  • Practices radiation safety techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient using ALARA.
  • Demonstrates excellent customerservice skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent culturalcompetency skills with patients.
  • Documents patient care throughthe Nextgen EMR System.
  • Ability to assist patient on/off X-Ray table.
  • Ability to reach overhead and manipulate the controls for the X-Ray.
  • Computer keyboarding skills toenter patient information into the Nextgen and Canon systems.
  • Attends education seminars asrequired to maintain Oregon license/ARRT
  • Use care with the digital imaging detectors and computer systems.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for a radiologic technologist and relating to the health field.
Requirements

Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience at an approved ARRT facility.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Required to be registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and maintain a current Oregon license.

Summary

Primary duty includes but not limited to operating radiographic equipment to produce images of body for diagnostic purpose as directed by physician.
