Job summary

Optum is seeking an X-ray Technologist I to perform primary diagnostic exams and create a calm environment for patients. You will determine the best procedure, ensure imaging quality, and support workflow in a fast-paced radiology setting.

The role requires ARRT certification, a high school diploma, and ability to operate departmental systems. Preferred candidates have an associate or bachelor’s degree in radiography and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• AR R T certified required.
• Ability to use department's computerized system.
• Strong patient communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify anatomical orientation on images and ensure file identification.
• Perform radiographic procedures and operate related equipment.
• Greet patients, collect history, and enter data.
• Produce x-rays at optimal quality and maintain equipment.
• Protect patient from excessive radiation and monitor vital signs.
• Provide coverage for schedule gaps and mentor new hires.
• Maintain CPR certification and adhere to HIPAA and standards.
