Legacy Community Health in Houston is seeking an X-Ray Technologist – Float to provide high-quality diagnostic radiographs that support patient health. The ideal candidate is a graduate from an accredited imaging program with relevant certifications. This full-time role offers a Monday to Friday schedule with weekends as needed, providing a chance to contribute to community health.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited diagnostic imaging program.
• Certification in Basic Life Support / First Aid / CPR is required.
• Two years of prior diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

X‑Ray Technologist – Float (Job Overview)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic radiographs as requested by medical providers.
• Ensure optimal functioning of radiology equipment and report any issues.
• Participate in continuing education to keep your skills sharp and meet licensure requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited diagnostic imaging program.
• Medical Radiologic Technologist General Certification issued by the Texas Medical Board.
• Radiography ARRT‑R.T. (R‑ARRT) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Certification in Basic Life Support / First Aid / CPR.
• Experience with general office equipment and Digital Radiography (DR).
• Two‑year prior diagnostic imaging experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in Pediatrics and Geriatrics preferred.
• Produces high quality images: determines technical exposure factors, identifies and removes artifact‑producing objects, and utilizes shielding devices to protect the patient, self, and others.
