Job summary

Penn Medicine’s Lancaster General Hospital seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform standard diagnostic radiographic procedures with attention to patient positioning and radiation safety. You will work within LG protocols and collaborate with radiologists to deliver high-quality imaging.

This full-time role requires AMA approved schooling, ARRT certification, CPR, and a valid driver's license. Some travel to different sites may be needed, with on-call responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiological Technology School.
• ARRT certification as Radiologic Technologist.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through patient positioning, technique selection, and safety procedures as established by LG protocols.
• Receives requests, checking for special instructions from the requesting physicians; consults with Radiologists as necessary.
• Greets patients, confirms identifications, performs the correct procedures as directed, and explains the procedure to patient and family.
• Operates the hospital computer system and documents required information and patient history in the electronic medical record.
• Completes examination, consultation, and billing procedures as required and performs universal protocol paperwork as applicable.
• May require travel to various site locations.
• Participates in the clinical education of Radiology students as required.
• Participates in on-call responsibilities for this position as required.
