Job summary

Capitol Imaging Services (Outpatient Imaging) is seeking a part-time X-Ray Technologist in Canton, GA. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic imaging, participate in cross-training for Mammography, and uphold patient safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include operating X-ray equipment, positioning patients, protecting patients and staff with proper radiation safety measures, and maintaining quality imaging. Spanish/English bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• ARRT certification required.
• State licensure (if applicable).
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic radiology preferred (new grads may be considered).
• Knowledge of PACS and RIS systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important.

X-Ray Technologist - Part Time

At Capitol Imaging Services (Outpatient Imaging), we are looking for a part time X-Ray Technologist. We are looking for someone who is interested in cross-training in Mammography. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

The X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic imaging examinations using X-ray equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses. The technologist ensures quality images while prioritizing patient safety and comfort and adheres to regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
• Maintains communication and cooperation with radiologists and other ancillary departments regarding changes in protocol, scheduling of procedures, exams performed and patient flow.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, colleagues and referring offices.
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.

Preferred Experience:

• Prefer a minimum of 1 year experience.
• Multi-modality is a plus. Opportunity to learn Mammography.

Required Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current ARRT/ Radiologic Technologist License
