Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Florida CRT license.
• BLS CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• Graduate of a 2-year radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registry.
• Knowledge of radiology procedures including X-ray, DEXA, fluoroscopy.
• Anatomy & physiology knowledge for x-ray testing.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
• Safety requirements including HIPAA and radiation protection.

Responsabilités

• Verify prescription matches the procedure and record symptoms.
• Explain procedures to reduce patient anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Position patient and adjust immobilization to obtain optimal views.
• Operate x-ray/DEXA equipment and set exposure factors.
• Process images and assess technical quality for diagnostic use.
• Verify exam against PACS orders and adjust billing codes as needed.
• Present prior studies to radiologist for review.
• Practice radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Stock supplies, perform QC on equipment, and handle other duties.
• All other duties as assigned.
