Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a licensed Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging studies and assist physicians with diagnostic procedures. You will prepare patients, position equipment, and ensure high-quality radiographs while maintaining patient privacy and safety.

The role requires ARRT certification, SCQRSA licensure, and an associate degree in radiologic technology. Expect a full-time, on-site schedule with regular hours and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiological Technology.
• Completion of an accredited radiology/active license (ARRT).
• Valid SCQRSA license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiology procedures.
• Position x-ray equipment and adjust exposure factors.
• Position patient to obtain optimum view as requested by physician.
• Use beam-restrictive devices and shielding to minimize exposure.
• Clean procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patients.
• Process exposed radiographs using film processors or computer methods.
• Maintain radiographic supplies and orders as necessary.
• Ensure patient confidentiality per HIPAA and compliance guidelines.
• Follow company policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.

Description

Summary/Objective

Maintain and use equipment and supplies necessary to demonstrate portions of the human body on x-ray film or fluoroscopic screen for diagnostic purposes, as ordered by the physician.

Essential Functions

• Prepares patients for radiological imaging procedures.
• Position x-ray equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance.
• Position patient on examining table and set up and adjust equipment to obtain optimum view of specific body area as requested by physician.
• Use beam-restrictive devices and patient-shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff.
• Cleans procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits.
• Process exposed radiographs using film processors or computer-generated methods.
• Maintains radiographic supplies and orders as necessary.
• Ensures patient confidentiality and complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by OrthoSC
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional clinical environment. This position will not and may not act independently.

Physical Demands

Varied activities including walking, reaching, bending, lifting. Does require standing and walking for long periods of time. Assists with the transfer of patients, must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Travel

Occasional travel to other OrthoSC locations may be required as needed.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
