Job summary

Blue Star Imaging in Frisco, TX is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures for interpretation by a licensed practitioner, provide patient care, and support a fast-paced clinical workflow.

You will document exams and x-ray records, participate in quality control, educate patients, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate imaging and exceptional service. This is a full-time position with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and professional conduct.

Qualifications

  • Certification from a school of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT certification.
  • Active Texas license required.
  • BLS certification within three months of employment.

X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST
JOB DESCRIPTION

The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures for interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. The X-Ray Technologist also provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patients’ conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. The X-Ray Technologist reports to the Office Manager of Blue Star Imaging and is a Full Time position based in Frisco, TX.

Job Duties:
  • Performing all diagnostic imaging procedures as designated by specialty
  • Performing and ensuring safe, knowledgeable age-specific patient care in a holistic manner
  • Providing patient education and responding to patient and customer concerns
  • Completing documentation and patient x-ray record and Quality Control processes
  • Performing value-added activities that result in positive financial performance and customer satisfaction
  • Performing general radiography procedures as needed
  • Performing other related duties as assigned or requested
  • Demonstrating a commitment to service, organization values, and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Certification from a school of Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum one-year clinical experience as a general radiographer
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Must possess and maintain a current, active, unrestricted license in the state of Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within three months of employment
  • Ability to assist and position patients, including lifting up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for hours, bend, lean, squat, and/or sit as needed throughout the day.
  • Manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer systems.
  • Good vision and hearing for accurate assessment of images and patient communication.
