Job summary

Joint implant Surgeons of Florida (JISF) is seeking a Full Time Radiographer to join our team in Fort Myers, FL with occasional support in Naples and Cape Coral. Office hours are Monday-Friday, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.

The Radiology Technologist will operate radiology equipment for diagnostic and procedural purposes under the Imaging Manager. Responsibilities include positioning patients, performing x-rays, maintaining records, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of current x-ray trends and techniques.
• Ability to operate radiology equipment and learn recordkeeping on a computer.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Position patients to obtain appropriate radiographic exposures.

Joint implant Surgeons of Florida (JISF) is a physician owned, private medical practice in Florida specializing in Orthopedics, Spine and Pain Management.

JISF is seeking a Full Time Radiographer to join our dynamic team in covering primary location in Fort Myers with occasional assistance in Naples and Cape Coral. Office hours are Monday-Friday, no evenings, weekends or holidays. The ideal candidate has attention to detail, works independently and has a passion for caring.

Under the Direction of the Imaging Manager, the Radiology Technologist will operate radiological equipment for diagnostic, and procedural purposes. The technologist must possess the ability to work without constant supervision of technical detail and build rapport with Physicians they are working with (learn preferences, work flow etc.).

• Using proper radiation protection and precautions, prepares and operates x‑ray equipment
• Positions patients to obtain appropriate radiographic exposures
• Performs x‑rays accurately and timely to keep clinics moving
• Maintains computerized records, files, and/or reports
• Review charts and prep them for the following day
• Retrieve x‑rays for patients if they were done elsewhere locally
• Provide copies of x‑rays for patients when requested
• Assist others on the team as availability allows
• Assist with front desk activities when requested
• Maintain a clean workspace
• Conduct basic machine maintenance as necessary
• Assist Imaging Manager with administrative functions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Knowledge of the current trends and techniques of x‑ray technology
• Ability to operate equipment effectively; learn to operate a computer for recordkeeping purposes
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with patients and other staff

Education and Experience:

• Holds an active X-Ray license in the state of Florida
• Holds an active License with ARRT
• One year experience, preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing, reaching and bending
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
• Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of diagnostic examinations
