Job summary

OrthoAtlanta in Austell, GA is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to join our busy orthopedic practice. The role involves performing diagnostic radiography, positioning patients accurately, and maintaining image quality under close supervision of physicians.

You will work on-site, with opportunities to gain hands-on imaging experience and collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team in a leading orthopedic setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography or eligibility.
• 1+ year of X-Ray Technician experience (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures clearly and ensure proper patient positioning for imaging.
• Operate X-ray equipment safely to produce diagnostic images.
• Apply immobilization techniques and follow safety protocols.
• Perform routine checks on X-ray equipment and adhere to quality standards.
• Monitor and restock X-ray supplies to support clinic operations.
• Record procedures and imaging results in the EMR system.

What You'll Do

As an X-Ray Technologist at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:

• Explain procedures clearly, address concerns, and ensure patients are positioned correctly for musculoskeletal imaging
• Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently to produce diagnostic digital images of bones, joints, and soft tissues
• Apply proper immobilization techniques and follow established safety protocols at all times
• Perform routine checks on X-ray equipment and adhere to quality control standards
• Monitor and restock X-ray supplies as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations
• Record procedures and imaging results accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record system

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (preferred not required) or eligible to obtain ARRT certification
• 1+ year of experience as an X-Ray Technician (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
